mixed media on panel - acrylic, oil, collage, metal.... - 12x12 inches - 2005-07. (not a very good pic of it)
This is one of those pieces that I started with no particular idea in mind, painting, collaging - seeing what happens, what images present themselves to be ' pulled out '. I put it down at some point and didn't know how else to proceed, then found it again a year and a half later and 'finished' it. It's interesting how you can get stuck on a piece and the passing of time, experiences etc. can give you a new way to see it and fill in the blanks, so to speak....
I love the whole concept of reusing and recycling, in part because it never wears out, you can never do it over and over since that's the point of it, and that's what I like the most of your work. Good stuff, good stuff. May I ask what size is it?
This collage reminded me of the work of Rudolf Hausner...lovely composition...thank you for reffering me to amanda sage...i will contact her asap...as for yourself, if you wish to participate, share ideas, or help organize this big show, we will be glad to have you with us...thank you
Hey, thanks! Well, there is one of the horses of the apocalypse there with the text bubble stating the self-referential verse in such book - but I don't know if the whole piece is about it. That's really up to the viewer to decide...
