Really appreciate all the great comments from everyone! Thanks for taking the time and sharing yer mind.

To kind of answer many of the inquiries as to 'What it means' or what the 'message' is, all I can say is that it does
have a pretty specific message but also contains many elements that are spontaneous 'accidents' of the painting process as well as things simply intended to provoke mystery.

I didn't make any pre-sketches for this, I just painted it with a loose idea and let it grow from there, adding elements
as they came to me. Everything is painted out of my head except for the vulture and camera which were from
photo ref. and the woman whom is a friend that posed for this...

The woman is chained to the 'Beast thing' with a super thin chain of gold, which is hard to see in this pic. She's a slave
but with such a small, easily breakable thing holding her, one is made to ask if she's really not chosen to stay...
Where is this room and what is behind the curtain? The 'Beast thing' is full of symbolism, some old/ancient, some new -
some from actual history, some made up.
I don't intend to decode it all for you, it's left up to you to decide what it could mean...

However, for those that can't see it all, these things are there:

- Surveillance camera, vulture, factory emitting green smoke, city under construction, obelisk,
diamond ring around neck of 'dragon' (with skin like the American flag which is also wearing Mickey Mouse ears),
a prison, a Templar cross, an ATM thing spewing out green 'material', a TV type thing, an arm with 'bionic' or cyborg type components, a purse, oil spill, sex, gold chain, junk, Freemasonry symbol...

The red curtain came to me as a last part of the composition and I couldn't help but think of Twin Peaks after I
painted it, hence the title -- which when you really decipher all of this, fits quite well...

Thanks again everyone, hope this helps a bit...

There's just too much stuff out there that's trying to make us feel ashamed of being human... :(

Doesn't matter though. They're the one's who should be ashamed, not for being human... but for doing what they do to other humans...

After reading the artist's comment down below, I guess that thing I take from it is the woman is "chained" to that horrible monster and all she has to do is reach down and break the small golden chain and take her stand on the stage as herself a individual human being.

I dunno, this is amazing though.

Ooo! I like this one.

There are so many intriguing aspects to absorb and decode.

My very favorite is the American Flag serpent with the Mickey Mouse ears. What an excellent statement for what our materialistic cold-blooded national system has become.

The symbolic representation is most interesting, forcing the viewer, me, to process and decode this wonderful painting.

I have shared this with my wife this evening and we talked about it. She said, "I want to sit and look at this for a while." So I must thank you for sharing this.

Very best regard,

Marko

It may be because I'm a fighting game junkie, but that being in the lower right corner reminds me of Double from Skullgirls.

I got a feeling that there's a message behind this pic. My interpretation is how our culture can make someone feel stripped down and disempowered. Am I correct?

Hey AxBunny,

have no idea who or what 'Double' or Skullgirls is..... so i guess i'll take your word for it... ;)

YOur interpretation is great, thank you for taking the time to really look.

For some of my thoughts on this, please refer to the comment I just left up top if

Skullgirls is one of the craziest fighting games you'll ever see, and Double is a formless monster that usually disguises itself as a nun.

When I saw the thumbnail for this piece it reminded me of that one scene of Pink Floyd the Wall where the guy is watching tv, and the giant vagina tries to eat him so I just had to check it out.

Thanks for your kind words. I couldn't help but to visually digest every bit of this work. Where is this comment you left explaining your thoughts on it? I looked for it but only found other references to it.

I finally found your comment about your interpretation, and I think I was the closest. I may have seen things that weren't there because my brain can be quite analytical.

Here's a pic of Double if you're interested: [link]

Skullgirls also has a girl with a parasite for hair that's kinda like Venom from Spiderman, a girl that can take off her head and throw it at people, and all sorts of craziness.

This is beautiful. I absolutely love the form of the body. It looks as though I could touch the sin and it would be soft. The overall presentation is so strong! The red curtain ties everything together and I like how you made that reflect on the body and on the pile of things. You are very talented! Awesome!

I think this work of art means that America is crowding innocent people with merchandise, making them feel pressured, and when the companies take all of our life, we feel raw. We feel naked.

Just my interpretation on this beautiful piece.
